Each skein of floss is six strands of 100% cotton mercerized thread and has 8. 75 yards.  The six strands can be separated into single strands for embroidery projects that require fewer strands.  Use this pack for all types of embroidery, cross-stitch, counted cross-stitch and other needlecrafts such as smocking, quilting, punch needle embroidery.  Contains 36 skeins of black and white floss. S
